Funny how, as a visual artist, I find myself returning to the medium of words on a page (or a screen) in recent days.
Last week I launched two sibling projects — Nothing to Lose and Are We Alive? – and already I’m remembering a) just how much I enjoy writing and b) just how time consuming it is to write things down instead of making pictures.
On Saturday night I went to see The Lucid Dream at Manchester’s Night & Day Café — a gig which I will be reviewing for Are We Alive? this week. I’m also doing a review of their new album and — bonus — I managed to score an interview with them too, which I’m currently transcribing (seriously, journos, how do you stand the sound of your own voice on these things?).
Point I’m making is that I might be a bit light on photographic content this week. If I am, please do understand.
