Silent stream

Graham Binns posted a photo: Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 161 A stream in the Forest of Bowland. This didn’t look right for me until I accidentally recoloured it. I think it’s probably over-processed, actually.

Still trailing

Graham Binns posted a photo: Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 152 The reverse of this shot/. This was the shot I actually wanted to get of the trailer, but when I took the original the sun was in almost exactly the wrong place and blew out the sky. I took this a [...]

Trailing

Graham Binns posted a photo: Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 150 A trailer that someone abandoned near my home. Edited to remove some powerlines (hurrah for the Gimp’s healing algorithm, which helped to cover my sins). Also, the title is an apt description of how I’m doing with this project yet again. [...]

Mostly unspoiled

Graham Binns posted a photo: Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 131 Taken from Ribblehead station. I wanted to get this shot a couple of days ago, when I took this one, but the clouds were too uniform to be interesting. I came back for the sake of getting this shot, in the [...]

A long, slow collapse

Graham Binns posted a photo: Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 112 A collapsing cottage on the road between Ingleton and Hawes. I would have liked to get closer to this so that I could have worked with some more extreme angles. Unfortunately a large, barbed-wire fence was in the way and I [...]

The light of salvation

Graham Binns posted a photo: Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 105 St Paul’s church, Brookhouse. This is an interesting image to me for several reasons, but I particularly like the fact that you can’t actually straighten this image up correctly, or at least so it appears. There are two reasons for this: [...]

Caton Green Welcomes Careful Drivers

Graham Binns posted a photo: Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 64 I took this whilst wandering around looking for other things to photograph (and by other things I mean wooly, four legged things, since there are quite a few around these days and they like pose for the camera). I just liked [...]

A great deal of distance

Graham Binns posted a photo: Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 57 Posted late again, my apologies. Taken looking north towards the Lake District. I was using this one as a way of playing around with colourisation and filters in the Gimp. I’m not sure that it wouldn’t have worked better with some [...]

Oddly Menacing

Graham Binns posted a photo: Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 47 Jubilee Tower, which overlooks Morecambe bay from one of the high points of the forest of Bowland. Colours and contrast altered in the Gimp, but otherwise untouched. And today, because you’re lucky, you get a bonus image.

The long and winding road

Graham Binns posted a photo: Three-hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 16 Actually it’s pretty short as roads go, and is in fact the driveway leading up to our house, which is on an old farm site. This was first time the rain let up today, so I went out with the 18-55mm lens [...]
