Will You? (Part II)

Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 240

This is the spot (within a few feet), where I asked my fianceé to marry me, on the shale beach at Luss, on the shore of Loch Lomond.

Someone had stuck these two chairs at the water's edge for reasons unknown. Nevertheless, I liked the looking-to-the-great-beyond feel that they lent to the image.

Shot handheld at 1/2 second to blur the water (oh to have taken the tripod with me). I'm amazed it's as sharp as it is, though.

Edited to remove an unfortunately blurred duck.

Note: Yes, I know, there are 31 days between this entry and the previous one. They will be filled in, never fear. Finding time to do the editing is problematic, that's all.

So. The important bit. This was taken on the day that I asked my girlfriend of 12 years to marry me. As you can see, she said yes :).

About

Graham Binns is a writer, photographer, musician and software developer from Lancaster, England, with far too much hair, a penchant for odd t-shirts and a magnificent hat. He has been making things up for as long as he can remember and has been making code work for long enough to make a living from it.

He has written one novel, which is in the process of composting, and is working remembering how to write before embarking on a second. In the meantime, he photographs things, since it's easier not to have to make the world up in his head all of the time.
