I've wanted to do a shot like this for a while. Unfortunately, this one is somewhat dull, composition-wise. Still, it's a start, and I can always keep practising.

Shame about the teabag, though.

So it's been one of those days: lousy weather, busy with work (or at least Stuff That Needs to be Done), not much in the way of photographic eurekas.

By twenty-five to midnight I was thinking that I didn't have much time left. So I photographed it as it whizzed by. I particularly like the effect of the longish exposure on the mechanism at the bottom.

About

Graham Binns is a writer, photographer, musician and software developer from Lancaster, England, with far too much hair, a penchant for odd t-shirts and a magnificent hat. He has been making things up for as long as he can remember and has been making code work for long enough to make a living from it.

He has written one novel, which is in the process of composting, and is working remembering how to write before embarking on a second. In the meantime, he photographs things, since it's easier not to have to make the world up in his head all of the time.
