This is the spot (within a few feet), where I asked my fianceé to marry me, on the shale beach at Luss, on the shore of Loch Lomond.
Someone had stuck these two chairs at the water's edge for reasons unknown. Nevertheless, I liked the looking-to-the-great-beyond feel that they lent to the image.
Shot handheld at 1/2 second to blur the water (oh to have taken the tripod with me). I'm amazed it's as sharp as it is, though.
Edited to remove an unfortunately blurred duck.

Note: Yes, I know, there are 31 days between this entry and the previous one. They will be filled in, never fear. Finding time to do the editing is problematic, that's all.
So. The important bit. This was taken on the day that I asked my girlfriend of 12 years to marry me. As you can see, she said yes :).

There are so many reasons that I should dislike this shot: It's blurred due to camera shake, it's noisy due to a high ISO setting, etc., and yet I somehow can't bring myself to.
I took this standing on the south bank of the Thames, a few yards away from the London Eye. These two were completely wrapped up in each other and nothing around them distracted them. It was really rather sweet. I only took the one shot of them though; doing so made me feel rather guilty.

Today is one of those days where I'm going to find myself not eating much in an attempt to counter last night's gluttony. Eurgh.
