The third of my three oh-look-it's-morecambe-bay shots from Jubilee tower. This one reminded me of the way water pours out of a colander for some reason.

Snapped near Jubilee tower after a rainy day. Not even remotely perfect, but a nice effect all the same.

You can see the Lune estuary in the distance at the left of the photo and the twin buildings of Heysham nuclear power station on the right.

I was trying to capture the rain over the facing hills when I took this. It didn't quite work out the way I wanted; there's too much light from the sky. The wall's also a bit too prominent, but I don't think I could've got a better shot without standing in the middle of the road. Which would be bad.

Who said I could only do one photo a day? Today you get two, because I love you.

This signpost stands a few feet away from Jubilee Tower. This is another of those photos that I can find all kinds of faults with - the sky, which was in the middle of a fiery sunset, is completely blown for a start - but still like in an odd way.

Jubilee Tower, which overlooks Morecambe bay from one of the high points of the forest of Bowland.

Colours and contrast altered in the Gimp, but otherwise untouched.

And today, because you're lucky, you get a bonus image.

Graham Binns is a writer, photographer, musician and software developer from Lancaster, England, with far too much hair, a penchant for odd t-shirts and a magnificent hat. He has been making things up for as long as he can remember and has been making code work for long enough to make a living from it.
