This border collie cross was running loose when I went for a walk at lunch time. He (or she) stayed ten paces in front of me all the time, barking and growling, as I walked home. As you can see from his tail being between his legs, he was afraid, either of me or the cars on the road; I couldn't tell.

A female mallard who wouldn't leave us alone as we tried doing some wildlife photography at Leighton Moss.

Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 107 Taken near Claughton in the Lune valley. This little guy (or girl) seemed supremely indifferent to me. Mum, on the other hand, was not amused that I was snapping photos of her calf.

A lucky shot of a squirrel, jealously guarding a stick. I don't know why, but it's hard not to anthropomorphise about it.

About

Graham Binns is a writer, photographer, musician and software developer from Lancaster, England, with far too much hair, a penchant for odd t-shirts and a magnificent hat. He has been making things up for as long as he can remember and has been making code work for long enough to make a living from it.

He has written one novel, which is in the process of composting, and is working remembering how to write before embarking on a second. In the meantime, he photographs things, since it's easier not to have to make the world up in his head all of the time.
