The slowly decaying buildings in the old warehouse district in Lancaster.

Originally, these buildings, close to the Lancaster canal, were used to store goods transported on said canal. Now, some of them are offices, one of them's a nightclub, many of them are decaying. These are some of the latter.

Not exactly Cartier-Bresson; I half wish that it was raining and that I'd dropped the shutter speed down.

The door to what I presume to be a basement flat in Lancaster. It gives the impression of a door that with a precipitous drop behind it.

A couple of boarded-up windows on Sun Street, Lancaster.

What caught my eye, aside from the graffiti above the right hand pane, was the poster.

As you can see if you view the large image, it's a poster for a public meeting to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Russian Revolution.

I wonder if anyone went...

Graham Binns is a writer, photographer, musician and software developer from Lancaster, England, with far too much hair, a penchant for odd t-shirts and a magnificent hat. He has been making things up for as long as he can remember and has been making code work for long enough to make a living from it.
