This might get posted late due to Flickr's issues (having a massage, indeed), but still.
There's a Fuschia on our windowsill. It's the only plant in the house because, in winter, they have a nasty habit of getting too cold and dying, but this one, in discordance with all reason, is thriving, Maybe it's because it's being raised by Sarah, who told me as I was taking this shot "That'll open tomorrow." Whether it does or not, it's the first sign of new life that I've seen this year (well, new in the sense that I didn't see it last year first).
I would have liked to get rid of the twig in the bottom right of the frame, but my gimp-fu failed me and I couldn't get another shot that didn't have a reflection or something else in it that I didn't like. Such is life.
What I do like, however, is the way the light catches the flower. I made a snoot-cum-diffuser from a sheet of paper to soften the effect of the speedlight. Even with a bounce flash it was too harsh. A4 FTW!
