This tickles me a bit. The headline, especially.

Germany imposes ban on Tom Cruise (BBC)

Germany has banned the makers of Tom Cruise's new movie from filming at military sites in the country because the actor is a Scientologist.

In other news, my remote feed (Twitter, Flickr, etc.) aggregator thingumy appears to be buggered. Ho hum; I'll fix it later.

[Edit]

Well, the remote feeds thing is fixed, though it still needs a coat of looking at. Alas, the BBC have now amended their headline in the RSS feed, which is a shame, although they've left it as-is in the story itself, which just seems... slack, really.

Have... no... words...

Illinois baby obtains gun permit (BBC)

Bubba Ludwig may only be 10 months old, but he has already successfully obtained a gun licence in the US state of Illinois. Bubba's father, Howard Ludwig, applied on his behalf after his grandfather gave him a shotgun as an heirloom.
Bubba? Come on.

Buyer finds mummy in Spanish flat (BBC)

Jordi Giro bought the flat in the Costa Brava resort of Rosas at an auction after the previous owner defaulted on her payments.

He told police that he was shocked on going into the flat for the first time to discover her body sitting on the sofa.

It seems that Maria Luisa Zamora failed to keep up payments on her mortgage because she had in fact died in 2001.

It must be Thursday

I never could get the hang of Thursdays. I have a throbbing headache and, looking out of the window, I saw this:

Yellow

It is possible that the world is going to end in... oh, about twelve minutes time. Don't say you weren't warned.

(With apologies to Douglas Adams, natch.)

I sometimes leave things in the oddest places:

No, I don't know why, either.

[Addendum]

I forgot to move the pen after taking the photo. I'm that good.

About

Graham Binns is a writer, photographer, musician and software developer from Lancaster, England, with far too much hair, a penchant for odd t-shirts and a magnificent hat. He has been making things up for as long as he can remember and has been making code work for long enough to make a living from it.

He has written one novel, which is in the process of composting, and is working remembering how to write before embarking on a second. In the meantime, he photographs things, since it's easier not to have to make the world up in his head all of the time.
