This is appearing late because it never turned up in the feed in the first place (my bad).

100 Strangers #2

This is Raya (thank you to her friend Meowy12 for setting my spelling straight). Zie was attending the Anti Prop8 demonstration outside City Hall in Boston today, which I happend to stumble across whilst making my way back to the T. Even in the midst of many colourful characters Raya's hair and magnificent cape stood out and had to be photographed.

The cape was stitched by a friend, who arrived as I was departing, her first words being "I recognise that cape!"

This picture is the second in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at www.100Strangers.com

Hi there! I am the person in the picture. (i have no idea who meowy12 is, but that was nice of them to tell you about the spelling and the gender neutral pronouns)

Thank you for this, the way you made the colours stand out is more vibrant than it was ever in real life.

Are you traveling, or are you in Boston for good?

I am flattered to be in your 100 Strangers project. I wish i could do the same thing.

    Best wishes & Free Hugs

Hi! Glad that I could finally get the spelling right :) (I realised as I got on the T that I hadn't asked you).

You're welcome. For a photographer the whole event was a fantastically colourful and vibrant place to be. I loved it.

I was in Boston for work purposes (my employers have an office in Lexington); Saturday was my I-can-be-a-tourist day.

I am flattered to be in your 100 Strangers project.

Well as I said, I couldn't not ask for your photograph with that magnificent cape ;).

Interestingly, the rock mix of "I kissed a girl" (thanks, Exaile) is far better than the standard release. 2009-01-08 16:16:31

About

Graham Binns is a writer, photographer, musician and software developer from Lancaster, England, with far too much hair, a penchant for odd t-shirts and a magnificent hat. He has been making things up for as long as he can remember and has been making code work for long enough to make a living from it.

He has written one novel, which is in the process of composting, and is working remembering how to write before embarking on a second. In the meantime, he photographs things, since it's easier not to have to make the world up in his head all of the time.
