The light of salvation

Graham Binns posted a photo:

The light of salvation

Three hundred and sixty-odd days of 2008, day 105 St Paul’s church, Brookhouse. This is an interesting image to me for several reasons, but I particularly like the fact that you can’t actually straighten this image up correctly, or at least so it appears. There are two reasons for this: 1. There’s a fair amount of distortion with the lens (10-20mm) that I was using, so the doorway seems a bit bow-legged. 2. The tower really does slant at that crazy angle. As you can see, the sides are stepped. It’s a sort of half tower, half steeple job.
