I wouldn’t have posted this normally, since it’s not exactly the best of shots ever and there’s absolutely nothing special about it, but the brightness of the red on their faces just caught my fancy. This has been cropped, but the colour hasn’t been retouched at all.

It’s a wonder that they manage to evade predators, though I guess that there aren’t that many predators that would think a pheasant was worth the effort.
